Sao Paulo Fashion Week
As the biggest fashion week in South America, this is an event that should not be swept under the rug. However, as it is not one of the ‘ big four’ fashion capitals (New York, London, Milan and Paris) , these smaller fashion weeks often go unnoticed and unappreciated by the global fashion community.
This year is the 41st Sao Paulo Fashion Week, and unlike other fashion weeks, it covers almost everything from men’s fashion to beachwear instead of separating them into specific events. And if you still don’t think this is a worthy event – Karl Lagerfeld has collaborated with Brazilian designer Riachuelo to create a chic black leather based collection. Something definitely worth having a look at.
Other highlights of the week so far have come from designer Juliana Jabour whose ‘ history of the skateboarder’ inspired collection is feminine yet still both chic and sporty. We love the sheer and mesh panels intertwined with the colourful stripes and floaty white sections.
