Jonathan Saunders: The New Chief Creative Officer at DVF

Earlier this week, Diane Von Furstenberg announced that Jonathan Saunders would be appointed as the New Chief Creative officer of the brand. This may come as a surprise to many – Saunders resigned and closed his own label in early December last year.

The famous British designer is best known for his love of prints and use of certain techniques such as silk screen printing,  so joining the DVF label is almost a too perfect decision. Diane Von Furstenberg stated that it was ‘Jonathan’s extraordinary passion for colours and prints’ as well as other commending factors which made him such as strong candidate for the role.

Another key look of the Saunders label - something for the modern working woman - it is smart, practical and still feminine.

The Saunders label loves to be both and innovative whilst combining classical shapes as well - something that will fit perfectly into the DVF brand.

Saunders seemed to be overjoyed at the announcement exclaiming he was ‘ thrilled to be part of its [DVF] next chapter’ according to Vogue. The designer, who has previously worked for labels such as Pucci, will hopefully propel the DVF brand and make it even stronger in the fashion world today.

Take a look as some of the highlights from Jonathan Saunders’ own label here .
