Paris Couture Fashion Week

This week was the Paris Couture Fashion Collections and describing it as ‘eventful’ would be an understatement. From protesters at Fendi to huge catwalk cages at Christian Dior – this is a couture season to remember.

Below are some of our favourite looks and memorable pieces from the past week.

Valentino – this collection was inspired by Rome and showcased in a square. The whole look created really emphasizes the Italian routes of the label – it was founded in 1959 in Rome. We love the regal neckline and cape.

A new show this season made its mark - especially with this regal and bird like look. Karl Lagerfeld's 'haute fourrure ' ( couture fur) with definitely be a memorable addition to this seasons showcase.

Fendi – A new show in this couture season made its mark with this bird inspired look. Karl Lagerfeld’s ‘haute fourrure’ ( couture fur) will definitely be a memorable addition to this seasons showcase and not only for the looks produced. The show caused anti-fur protesters from the Bridget Bardott Foundation  to demonstrate outside the venue.

Jean Paul Gaultier went back to his signature stripes for this couture collection - a bold decision for a designer who announced in 2014 he would no longer be releasing any ready-to-wear collections.

The Lebanese designer brought some noticable sparkle to the couture catwalk - we love the wide sleeves and flared trouser leg here!

Chanel - this was THE show of the Paris Coulture collections. With guests such as Kristen Stewart and Julianne Moore playing on the Casino tables as part of the catwalk, this was certainly a memorable show. This white two piece suit, like many other looks from the collection, really captures what Chanel as a label represents,
