Chloé at Paris Fashion Week

This PFW showed Clare Waight Keller’s last collection for the French luxury fashion house. The theme for this AW17 collection was ‘escapism’ but the sense of fantasy was described as pretty rather than psychedelic. The collection had delicate mushroom prints, heart shaped necklines and star covered dresses giving it an almost ‘Alice in Wonderland‘ touch.

The collection was very traditionally feminine with sixties inspired hemlines and chic blouse sleeves. Lace was used in many different looks and bold colours with pretty white collars were extremely complementary. Fleece jackets and nylon colour blocked suits were also present.

The catwalk show itself had a surprise performance from Solange Knowles whose voice filled the chandelier covered show space. Models walked to ‘Don’t You Want Me’ by Human League – very appropriate for both the collection and Keller’s finale.

Rumours of Keller heading onto Givenchy are high. The future for this designer looks extremely optimistic.
